Steady as she goes
Fiscal year 2001-2002 spelled a record $25 million in awards and a fourth consecutive year of growth in sponsored research at Binghamton University. The tally, a six percent increase over the previous year, contributes to a total 51 percent increase in sponsored University research over the last four years. Read more
Two projects awarded Rose-Ross grants
Two community projects, one that uses art to promote mental wellness and another which connects rural children with medical expertise, will share $25,000 in grants awarded by the Marilyn Gaddis Rose and Stephen David Ross University and Community Projects fund. Read more

Binghamton University will be home to a new laboratory dedicated to finding data hidden in digital images thanks to a $1.1 million award from the Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome and the work of steganography expert Jessica Fridrich. Read more
BU tapped for $1 million federal grant to expand nursing education opportunities
The Decker School of Nursing has been awarded almost $1 million in federal funds to expand its community-based nurse practitioner and nurse educator program and to develop Web-based courses on community health and biohazard emergencies. Read more
